TOTEM INSISTS ON THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
Manchester, UK, 23/09/04 - Totem is 100% channel focussed which means we do not deal with end clients but through resellers who sell Totem products and services. We bill the reseller who then bills the end customer. As an organisation we empower our resellers to promote Totem's products and services and although we do not have visibility of whom their customers are, we always insist that our resellers employ the highest professional standards. At all times this includes full compliance with OFCOM recommendations. This channel approach is standard across the telecoms industry.
All our resellers undertake to ensure, wherever possible, that their customers do not utilise a Totem number or service for any improper or unlawful use. Each reseller has the authority to suspend or terminate any service when they believe these standards are not being met.
We appreciate anyone bringing to our attention unethical business behaviour. We will pass this information on to our reseller who is empowered to make the decision as to what action they choose to take with the end client. However due to the data protection act we are unable to divulge any information as to whom our resellers are or where these non-geographic numbers are targeted.
To reiterate, Totem is a telecoms service provider for resellers and have no direct contact or control over end clients.
